We are looking for a skilled and experienced Chef for a single HNW gentleman based in a large and beautiful modern apartment in Blackfriars with views over London. The Principal regularly travels to the south of Spain where the Principal has a large house and two children (6 and 8).

Chef skills
The candidate will be an experienced private chef who can create and serve fresh and healthy menus from a variety of cuisines, principally Mediterranean, Japanese, Asian fusion, and ceviche. The menus will have a strong emphasis on fish, vegetables and salads. The candidate will be used to selecting the finest ingredients, wild fish, grass fed meats, and organic herbs and vegetables from high end shops and markets in London. The ability to copy his favourite dishes from restaurants is also a must.

In London the role will be full-time live out. The Principal requires two meals a day. Monday to Thursday in London this will be lunch (delivered to his office in central London at 12:30pm) and dinner served at home at 6:30pm. On Friday and Saturday this will be breakfast at 10:00am, and dinner at 5:00pm.

In Spain the role will be full time live-in. There is a full-time housekeeper already and so the role will principally be making breakfast for the principal and his children before school, lunch for the principal (if the Principal is at home) and preparing dinner for everyone around 7:00pm. Occasionally there will be larger dinner parties and barbeques at which the candidate will assist. The candidate will be in charge of menu creation and all food shopping. All travel will be provided, as will a car in Spain.
London Housekeeping
The candidate will have knowledge and experience of maintaining a luxury modern home including cleaning to a high standard and care of natural stone. The ability to follow instructions in relation to how specific artworks need to be cared for. The candidate will keep the kitchen (open plan) clean to a very high standard and ensure that the fridge and cupboard are kept stocked for the menus and also for the principal’s regular items (such as water, bread, butter, milk, coffee and tea, fruits etc). The candidate will know how to care for crystal and specialist cook-wear (such as iron and carbon steel pans).

The principal’s bedroom and bathroom will be cleaned and tided daily and his bed made. Bed sheets are changed once a week unless there are other instructions.

The candidate will deal with the laundry- either by hand or by sending larger items (such as bed linens) out to specialist laundry. The candidate will be able to manage hand wash and iron of luxury fabrics such as silk. The candidate will be able to organise the linens and principal’s wardrobe.

Necessities
The candidate will have:
• A real love of fresh high-quality food
• Excellent personal health fitness
• Immaculate personal presentation and personal hygiene at all times
• Driving licence
• Previous experience working for a very demanding principal with high expectations
• Minimum two references in the UK.
• Recent DBS check
• Excellent organisation skills and eye for detail
• The ability to be work independently when the principal is busy or uncontactable (you will be able to liaise with his private PA)
• Perfect punctuality and total reliability
• Experience with children

Other information
You will not be expected to nanny children.
The Principal has a collection of prestige and vintage cars. It would be a bonus if the candidate has some experience driving such cars and be able to do some occasional driving such as airport pick-ups and drop offs.
The Principal will be in Spain for two weeks over Christmas.
When off duty in Spain you will be able to relax in the sunshine or explore one of the most beautiful and prestigious parts of the Costa del sol only 10 mins from Puerto Banus.
